Terms of advertising

What you are buying when you reserve a placement, and what we do and do not promise.

What we sell

Mumford Mail Co. sells advertising placements in Peterborough Local, a shared advertising mailer distributed in Peterborough, Ontario through Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail. A placement is space on a printed card for one edition and one mailing.

Reservations and payment

  • A category is reserved when payment is received, not when it is enquired about or verbally agreed.
  • Category exclusivity applies to the edition and mailing you have paid for. It does not reserve future mailings or other editions.
  • If two businesses in the same category enquire, the one that pays first holds the category.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars and HST is charged in addition.

Artwork and proofs

  • We design your placement from the logo, offer and contact details you supply.
  • You approve a proof before anything is printed. Nothing goes to press without your approval.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your offer, prices, contact details and any claims in your ad, and for holding the rights to any logo or image you supply.
  • Materials received after the published deadline may be held to the following mailing.

Distribution

  • Distribution is carried out by Canada Post under its Neighbourhood Mail service. Mumford Mail Co. is not affiliated with Canada Post.
  • Delivery point and route counts reflect the route selection for each edition and are confirmed per mailing. They may change between mailings.
  • In-home dates are estimates. Canada Post controls final delivery timing.

What we do not guarantee

We provide advertising design and physical distribution. We do not guarantee leads, enquiries, sales or any particular result. Advertising performance varies by business, offer, market and other factors outside our control.

Cancellation

Once a placement has gone to print it cannot be cancelled or refunded, because the cost has been incurred. Before print, contact us and we will tell you what stage the edition is at and what is possible.

Sample material

Every business, logo, offer and phone number shown on the sample mailer on this site is fictional and used for illustration only. The QR blocks in the sample are decorative and do not scan.
